Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Coordinator II is responsible for advanced coordination and planning activities that support efficient production workflows. This role expands the Manufacturing Coordinator I by focusing on routings, labor estimation, identifying and presenting capacity constraints, and dispatching work to internal and external resources. The role collaborates closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of manufacturing orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply routings and operational sequences to manufacturing prints to ensure accurate and efficient production planning. Coordinate capacity availability with external vendors to align with production schedules and deadlines. Dispatch work to internal and external work centers, ensuring proper prioritization and resource allocation. Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow. Responsible for achieving work center and vendor performance targets (OEE, on-time, quality). Review and validate manufacturing orders for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility. Support Manufacturing Coordinator I by providing guidance and oversight on order tracking, resolving issues, material assignment, and issues. Maintain and update ERP system with routing, labor estimates, and vendor capacity data. Monitor vendor performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and production efficiency. Achieve annual departmental vision and strategy objectives. Contribute and bring new ideas to weekly team discussions. Responsible for complying with all company safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to metal fabrication and assembly. Raw Material makeup and application use Machining (tooling, setup, machining equipment) Labor estimation Routing principles Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials management, and vendor coordination Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate degree in Machine Tooling, Engineering, or technical certification is preferred. 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing, production or related role Manufacturing programming experience preferred.
