Job Description

John Nelson would like to be considered for the CNC Programmer/Operator opportunity with ZK Carpentry. For the last fourteen years John has been with Process Displays as a Submittal Drafter/Programmer. He is the guy who is assuring all the program files and CAD files will work once they hit the production floor for the router team. Previous to this with Twin Cities Cabinetry he was programming with AlphaCAM as well as managing a small team. John and I went over the job description today and outside of the 5-axis side of the work he'd feel very comfortable with the position and would be excited to learn if the company is willing to train him. Being on the shop floor and setting up/running the machines is intriguing and enjoyable for him. He'd also be able to program in AlphaCAM. John lives in Plymouth so the drive would be reasonable. John is looking for an opportunity that would give him a chance to use the skills he has as well as expand his knowledge in industry and tools. ZK Carpentry appears to offer him that growth and excitement into new tools and complex work. Currently John is making $40 per hour and would like to stay as close to that as possible. He is also at 25 days of vacation but at least 14 would be ideal as he is not a huge vacation guy. Process Displays matches his 401k at 4% with his 5% and pays 90% of his health care as well as a 3% holiday bonus at the end of the year. I don't think any of this is a deal breaker just some good info. He does have a first interview this Thursday but as of right now that is it. Please let me know if you'd like to schedule an interview with John.
