Job Description
Pay rate: $25-30/HR 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, occasional Friday) About the Role Our client is seeking a Group Lead to oversee daily production operations and ensure that output meets or exceeds production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving performance, continuous improvement, and team engagement on the production floor. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Management Lead daily production to meet or exceed schedule, quality, and cost targets Conduct start-of-shift meetings to communicate goals and priorities Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and ensure continuous operations Maintain an active presence on the production floor to support and motivate teams Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Apply lean manufacturing tools and drive continuous improvement initiatives Implement and sustain 5S practices (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Use performance metrics to identify gaps and improve processes Ensure SOPs and work instructions are followed consistently Safety, Quality & Compliance Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Oversee equipment cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance processes Monitor product quality, complete required documentation, and address issues proactively Leadership & Team Development Supervise and support teams of 5-25 employees across 1-3 production lines Train, coach, and develop employees to improve performance Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback Support hiring, onboarding, and employee retention efforts Required Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or production Strong understanding of production processes and team management Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Experience with lean manufacturing principles Background in batch processing, fulfillment, or technical production Industry experience in personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or similar Skills Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive improvements Attention to detail and commitment to quality Work Environment & Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods (6+ hours/day) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions (including fragrances) Frequent movement, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion IND2
