Job Description
Production Supervisor (Hose) Applied Industrial Technologies United States, Minnesota, Eden Prairie 9930 West 69th Street (Show on map) Jul 31, 2026 The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the assigned assembly department, ensuring customer orders are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role leads production planning, personnel, equipment, inventory availability, and process improvement while coordinating closely with sales, purchasing, quality, and company leadership. Production Coordinate with the production planner to schedule production orders.
Be present on the shop floor to resolve issues, bottlenecks, or questions.
Coordinate priorities with sales and customer service teams.
Oversee assembly of non-standard jobs, custom spec, first articles, and walk-in orders.
Maintain inventory levels required to support production and customer demand.
Prevent and respond to inventory shortages that impact production.
Ensure work meets company and customer quality requirements. Leadership Set the standard for performance and accountability, working on the line if needed.
Lead, train, and develop production employees with an emphasis on cross training.
Manage employee schedules and time off.
Conduct performance reviews and address employee concerns promptly.
Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining oversight of department performance.
Promote a culture of safety and accountability. Facilities and Equipment Ensure production equipment, tooling, and testing equipment are available and properly maintained.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.
Oversee KANBAN style manual inventory of shop supplies.
Work with the team to identify and execute improvement opportunities. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
ERP experience (P21 preferred).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret bills of material, work instructions, and customer specifications. Preferred Qualifications Fluid power experience.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles.
