Job Description

Growing manufacturer in the St. Cloud, MN area is seeking a Production Supervisor for their 1st shift operations. This person will oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with quality standards. This role leads and develops a team of line operators, manages shift schedules, and minimizes downtime. Experience in the food or beverage industry is highly preferred, as the supervisor will be responsible for enforcing food safety standards, clean-in-place procedures, and allergen control protocols.
Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Direct workflow and labor allocation across production lines to meet daily throughput, yield, and efficiency targets.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor shift employees, managing performance evaluations, attendance, and onboarding.
Food Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP plans, and facility quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Quality Assurance (QA), Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment readiness and safe food handling.
Safety Enforcement:
Maintain a zero-injury workplace culture by conducting safety audits, enforcing OSHA regulations, and investigating incidents.
Reporting:
Track and report on shift metrics, including material waste, equipment downtime, and labor variances.
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; food or beverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, or related technical field is a plus.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with food safety regulations (such as SQF, BRC, or FDA standards) and allergen management is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Competency with manufacturing software (ERP/MES systems) and standard Microsoft Office tools.
Physical Requirements:
