A Manufacturing Production Supervisor supervises workers and production schedules, monitors supplies, and oversees quality assurance at a manufacturing facility or plant.
The Pultrusion Supervisor leads and supports the daily operations of the pultrusion production team, ensuring Safety, Quality, Productivity, and On-Time delivery. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coaching employees, team building, maintaining compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement. Manage shift schedules, time-off requests, attendance points, and timesheet reconciliation Operational Excellence Maintain a safe work environment through daily inspections and enforcement of PPE, floor management, and waste stream policies and procedures Ensure adherence to work instructions and product acceptance criteria Inspect processes, products, and equipment to meet or exceed Safety and Quality KPIs Verify equipment and tools are maintained and in proper working condition Plan and monitor workflow to achieve production goals on time, in full, and within quality specifications Review upcoming production schedules to prepare accordingly Assign tasks, monitor performance, and take action to optimize results Lead and participate in collaborative continuous improvement activities Direct 6S improvement initiatives within the department Perform other duties as assigned Administration & Reporting Complete daily supervisor reports and audit checklists Ensure accurate production reporting, scrap, and barrel management systems Collaborate with other Supervisors, Manager, and departments to maintain healthy and effective communication across shifts Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven leadership and team building experience in a manufacturing environment Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity, & People Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills Mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure and basic technical drawings Able to work and lead with minimal supervision Comfortable using computers for data entry, timesheet reconciliation, email, and KPI tracking Ability to properly prioritize and pay close attention to details Physical Work Conditions Hands-on leadership role located on the production floor, standing for up to 12 hours a day. Work with or around power tools, loud equipment and chemicals. Lift up to 50 pounds.
