Shop Foreman - Custom Cabinet ShopPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to lead our cabinet production team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive woodworking and cabinet manufacturing experience who can oversee daily shop operations, maintain quality standards, and keep production on schedule. This position requires excellent leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. Responsibilities Supervise and lead shop employees in the production of custom cabinetry and millwork. Coordinate daily workflow to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and production documents. Assign work based on employee skills and production priorities. Monitor quality throughout the manufacturing process. Train, mentor, and evaluate shop personnel. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions. Coordinate with project managers, designers, and installers to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor inventory and communicate material needs. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and used safely. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cabinet manufacturing or architectural millwork. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of woodworking machinery, tools, and production methods. Ability to read blueprints and cabinet shop drawings. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Forklift experience is a plus. Google drive knowledge and basic computer knowledge Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC production and cabinet software. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
