POSITION SUMMARY
We are focused on our people, our culture, and our business. We specialize in multiple trades and our teams do work in New Construction, Mechanical Service, Industrial Refrigeration, Special Projects, and Manufacturing. We have been providing an array of services for our commercial customers for over 25 years. Our Sheet Metal Mechanics are expected to follow the design and specifications required of the project. The Sheet Metal Mechanics will receive direct and indirect supervision. This position is a safety sensitive job, where the employee is responsible for and can impact their own safety as well as the safety of those around them.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Expertly fabricates, assembles, duct work in SHOP setting Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of HVAC systems, and any other relevant project details Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to SMACNA Locate and mark dimensions per plans, specifications, and shop drawings Accepts directives and guidance from Foreman and Field Supervisor Ensures efficient completion of all projects Available and willing to work overtime, as needed
SECONDARY DUTIES
Performs manual labor tasks that prepares the work area for primary tasks Participates in meetings, workshops, training and seminars as required Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Attention to detail and quality of work performed Ability to work independently, with excellent time management skills Good communications skills Good organizational skills Observes and abides by all Company procedures and safety rules Ability to work and interact with others in a positive manner Computer skills a plus but not required EDUCATIONAL, LICENSING and
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED Hold OSHA certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire date) Valid class E driver's license Valid social security number
ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is for shop labor, building and fabricating HVAC duct systems and learning the process of how duct systems work. Attention to detail is a must. With this position you will be solely working in the shop for one year, after that year is up you will be given the opportunity to join the HVAC apprentice program.
