Production Supervisor Job Description The Production Supervisor leads the daily operations of a manufacturing and production team, ensuring safe work practices, consistent product quality, and efficient throughput. This role oversees, trains, and coaches production associates while partnering closely with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing and production team to meet production goals. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed consistently on the production floor. Supervise production associates during the shift, providing clear direction and support. Train, coach, and develop production associates to improve performance and skills. Partner with maintenance teams to address equipment issues and minimize production downtime. Collaborate with quality teams to maintain high product standards and resolve quality concerns promptly. Monitor production processes and adjust staffing or workflow as needed to meet schedule and output targets. Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily production reports and any required logs. Communicate shift performance, issues, and improvements to leadership and cross-functional teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality. Essential Skills Proven experience leading daily operations in a manufacturing and production environment. Knowledge in production supervision and operations management. Hands-on experience with manufacturing operations and manufacturing processes. Demonstrated supervision skills, including directing and supporting production associates. Ability to enforce and promote safety protocols consistently. Solid management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced setting. Ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance and quality teams to reduce downtime and maintain standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete accurate documentation and daily reporting. Effective communication skills to guide teams and coordinate with other departments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience coaching and developing frontline production staff to improve performance. Familiarity working in a structured manufacturing environment with defined processes and quality standards. Comfort working with production metrics, reporting tools, and performance indicators. Work Environment This role operates on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed based on production goals. You will work in a manufacturing environment focused on safe operations, consistent production output, and collaboration with maintenance and quality teams to keep equipment running efficiently and products meeting quality standards. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Riverside, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
