Job Summary The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing production personnel within their department, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role involves training employees, ensuring efficient workflow within their department, and collaborating with the Production Supervisor to meet production goals. We have openings in various departments, both first and second shift, and placements will be made based on relevant experience. Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor up to 10 production personnel within department.
- Provide training on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Advise the Production Supervisor on personnel-related decisions within their department.
- Assist in inventory management by advising production personnel on the most efficient use of materials and resources.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and support management in the execution of planned maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Assist employees with logging labor hours into our ERP system to ensure precise tracking and reporting.
- Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards while meeting production deadlines. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 2 years of experience in Manufacturing is preferred
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred Skills and Physical Demands
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading;
- Proficient in the use of all standard woodworking tools and mechanical tools.
- Experience with various machine operation.
- Experience with basic construction practices.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds;
- Stand for long periods of time, occasionally walking, stooping, and reaching;
- Be able to work a 10-hour shift or overtime as needed;
- Forklift experience required.
