Full Job Description Manufacturing Supervisor Responsibilities:
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees. Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance. Coordinate with support departments for proper preventive maintenance of machinery. Observe production output, providing corrective action to any deficiencies. Facilitate and ensure the proper training of all supervised employes in the areas of operation, training, inventory, and process compliancy. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards. Be aware of the day-to-day production needs; awareness levels must be cemented. Ensure adherence to scheduling and report issues that prevent from adherence to the proper departments. Develop a systematic approach in identifying priorities during downtime or scheduled production. Implement and champion the ideals of 6S principles. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within your area of responsibility Minimize downtime on all machines and adapt by facilitating resources appropriately. Regularly assess all direct reports and identify strengths and weaknesses. Must lead by example and be available, accessible, and approachable. Display positive demeanor and level-headedness as challenging situations arise.
General Work Requirements:
Proven experience as Manufacturing Supervisor or similar role. Strong ability to effectively lead people and achieve results through the team. Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools. Advanced skills in MS Office. Organizational and leadership abilities. Communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Ability to effectively detect and correct deficiencies in safety, quality, and/or efficiency.
High School Diploma:
Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage. Move at a moderate to fast pace across specified terrain for extended periods of time. Adjust body position while performing tasks.
