Our growing company is seeking to hire a Utility Wood Pole Inspection Foreman to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 2-4-man crew as well as the inspection and treatment of wooden utility structures. The position will require regional travel with extended time away from home as well as inclement work conditions. Foreman responsibilities for wood pole inspections, treatment and maintenance include, but are but not limited to:

• Lead and develop a small crew in the safe, timely and quality inspections of wood utility poles o Including hand excavation, cleaning, inspection and preservative treatment
• Data collection and strength calculation via QUES software and hardware
• Daily updating of material inventories, tool upkeep and safety briefings
• Planning, scheduling and executing inspections per the direction of Project Managers and Regional Supervisors
• Lead and develop a small crew in the safe, timely and quality application of wood preservatives, ground level wood pole maintenance, hand excavation, cleaning, inspection and treatment of wood pole assets
• Constant development of small crew in evolving safety, production and inspection processes

Minimum Foreman Qualifications:

• Must be familiar with the safe and correct operation of hand tools or sharp objects
• Must be able to identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks
• Must be capable of reading and interpreting Scopes of Work and briefings, with the assistance of the Project Manager, to accomplish pre-set work goals in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must be able to work well with others, in a leadership type role, while also representing the company
• Must be able to work outdoors in various topographic and weather conditions
• Must have good communication skills, work well under pressure, and be familiar with a production-related environment
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check, drug screen and have a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Wood Pole inspection experience a plus
• Leadership roles leading 2-5 personnel a plus
• Required to stand, walk, bend and lift most of the day in field
• Lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
• Must wear PPE at all times
