Full-Time, Salaried Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our second-shift operations in Union, Missouri. This position will provide frontline leadership to approximately 25-30 hourly employees involved in manufacturing and production operations. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring daily production, quality, safety, and output goals are achieved while building an engaged and accountable team. This individual will review production schedules, coordinate manpower and materials, address operational challenges, and partner with other departments to keep production running safely and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to approximately 25-30 hourly employees. Review production schedules and assign employees based on production priorities, manpower, materials, and operational needs. Monitor shift performance to ensure production, quality, safety, and output requirements are achieved. Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor. Coach, develop, engage, and hold employees accountable for individual and team performance. Identify and communicate production, equipment, staffing, and material issues that could impact schedules. Coordinate with maintenance, quality, shipping/receiving, and other support departments to quickly resolve operational issues. Recommend improvements to manufacturing methods, materials, equipment, workflows, and procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Build strong working relationships with employees and create an inclusive, team-oriented work environment. Maintain accurate production reports, schedules, performance records, and other required documentation. Lead employees through operational changes and reinforce expectations across the shift. Support additional overtime as required based on production and business needs. Qualifications 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience required. Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Proven ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work across multiple levels of an organization. Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively prioritize manpower and resources based on changing production requirements. Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal daily supervision. Experience with print production, bindery/finishing, shipping/receiving, packaging, or similar manufacturing operations is a plus. Schedule This position is assigned to second shift, Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM-11:00 PM. Candidates should also be willing and able to work additional overtime as required based on production needs. $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
