Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Foreman/Fabricator to lead fabrication projects and oversee daily operations on construction sites. This role combines hands-on metal fabrication with team leadership, ensuring that all work meets safety standards, quality expectations, and project deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent blueprint reading skills, and extensive experience with various welding techniques. As a key member of our team, you will drive productivity, uphold safety protocols, and deliver high-quality fabricated components for diverse construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise fabrication teams on-site, coordinating tasks to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components Operate and maintain welding equipment including
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick (SMAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding processes in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other precision tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform sheet metal fabrication Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, ASME codes & standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, inspection reports, and safety logs Requirements Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on metal fabrication and welding techniques Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, rigging equipment, pipe threading tools, machining equipment, and plasma cutters Strong knowledge of welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding standards Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately for quality control Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication and ductwork assembly Familiarity with safety protocols related to construction sites and fabrication shops; adherence to OSHA regulations preferred Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to contribute your expertise to exciting construction projects.
