Production Manager Job Description Job Summary Skyfish is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to join our growing team. You'll work alongside talented innovators building best-in-class autonomous drones used to measure, map, and model critical infrastructure. As part of a fast-moving technology start-up, you'll help shape the future of precision data collection and aerial measurement. In this leadership position, you will oversee daily manufacturing activities, drive production efficiency, and collaborate across all departments to ensure the successful assembly, testing, and delivery of Skyfish drone systems.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and manage daily drone production operations Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments Lead, mentor, and support production assemblers Coordinate with procurement and supply chain team to ensure timely material availability Implement standardized work instructions and manufacturing best practices Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures Maintain high-quality manufacturing standards and collaborate with Quality Control to investigate defects and implement corrective actions Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Assist directly with production activities as needed in a hands-on manufacturing environment Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to achieve production goals and support continuous improvement goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred Experience in manufacturing or production management is preferred Experience in aerospace, robotics, electronics, or drone manufacturing is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production planning Experience managing production teams in a fast-paced environment Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a rapidly growing startup environment Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning tools is a plus
