Value Stream Supervisor

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Value Stream Supervisor for our Precision Hydraulic Cylinders (PHC) facility in Beulaville, North Carolina. This position is for 1st Shift. The work hours are 5am-3:30pm. Manage all aspects of production for Multiple Value Streams by: A) Support Production 1) Drive Safety and 5S with toolbox talks and audits. 2) Support and ensure adequate training for new and existing employees. i. Assign resources daily. ii. Coordinate training of new hires. iii. Evaluate employees training needs and communicate to VSM as needed. 3) Help eliminate obstacles and bottlenecks that are preventing needed throughput, moving resources where needed most, and requesting tooling and programming needs, as necessary. 4) Help ensure Quality Policies are being followed. 5) Help resolve and communicate machine issues to the VSM. 6) Support employee morale and be a positive influencer. 7) Ensure company policies are being followed; Safety, PPE, Breaks, ect. B) Continuous Improvement 1) Identify and communicate ways to improve safety, quality, morale, and productivity. 2) Communicate needs of the employees to management.

Key Attributes:

A) Strong manufacturing background in high volume environment with high number of SKU's. B) Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills. C) Proven Safety orientation and system implementation. D) Demonstrated Quality improvements and achievements. E) Sound mechanical and technical knowledge, along with understanding of machining processes. F) Experienced in driving Lean Manufacturing Initiatives a plus.

Based Requirements:

A) 5 years of leadership experience. B) College degree or working towards college degree a plus. C) Be able to work on-site and support overtime needs for manufacturing. D) Computer competence with Office and MRP systems. Project management skills a plus.
