Job Description

Asphalt Milling ForemanLocation:
Haw River, North Carolina (regional travel required)
Salary:
$60,000 - $90,000 Base SalaryPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Milling Foreman to oversee asphalt milling operations on roadway and commercial paving projects throughout North Carolina and its surrounding region. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating equipment and logistics, and ensuring safe, high-production execution in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, equipment knowledge, and hands-on experience in milling operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily milling operations on roadway and asphalt projectsSupervise crews, operators, and subcontractors to maintain production goalsCoordinate milling equipment, trucking, and site logisticsPlan sequencing and traffic control to ensure efficient workflowMonitor milling depth, grade, and surface quality to meet specificationsEnforce safety standards and ensure compliance with DOT requirementsTrack daily production, equipment utilization, and field reportingCommunicate with paving teams and project stakeholders to stay on scheduleQualifications3+ years of experience in asphalt milling, paving, or heavy highway constructionExperience leading crews or acting in a foreman/supervisory capacityWorking knowledge of milling equipmentUnderstanding of roadway construction, grades, and surface prepStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience on DOT or state-funded roadway projects (NCDOT a plus)Familiarity with grade control or GPS systemsEquipment operating background or CDLCandidates that fill out skills & questions will move to the front of the application process.
