Join our Talent CommunityPosition SummaryThe Wilmington Group is seeking an Production Supervisor to support day-to-day plant operations and drive execution of production, safety, and maintenance plans. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in executing production plans, leading shift-based teams, and ensuring consistency in safety, quality, and productivity standards. This position is a developmental role designed to prepare individuals for future Operations Manager responsibilities. The Production Supervisor reports to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceReinforce and model RMRs safety culture in all shift activitiesEnsure all safety procedures and protocols are followed consistentlyMonitor compliance with regulatory and company safety standardsDocument safety observations and incidentsProduction ExecutionAid in development and drive execution of daily production plans established by the Operations ManagerMonitor shift performance to ensure productivity and quality targets are metIdentify and escalate production issues in real timeEnsure proper staffing and attendance on shiftTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise operators and general labor employeesProvide coaching, feedback, and direction to improve performanceSupport employee training and developmentEscalate employee relations concerns appropriatelyMaintenance & EquipmentEnsure completion of routine equipment inspectionsMonitor equipment performance and report maintenance needsSupport efforts to minimize downtimeQuality & InventoryMaintain understanding of customer material specificationsAssist in tracking production output and qualitySupport material flow and inventory awarenessCommunication & ReportingProvide timely updates on shift performanceParticipate in daily shift meetingsAssist with data collection for operational metricsWhat You Need to SucceedHigh School Diploma or GED required2+ years of operations or manufacturing experienceSupervisory experience preferredStrong organizational and leadership skillsMechanical aptitudeAbility to work flexible hours including weekendsKey CompetenciesAccountability and execution mindsetProblem-solving and decision-makingEffective communicationTime managementCommitment to safetyThe Wilmington Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
