Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Weave Room Shift Lead to oversee our manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality during their shift. This leadership role involves supervising team members, maintaining compliance with quality standards, and fostering a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive weaving experience and strong supervisory skills to lead the team effectively and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by conducting routine safety audits, enforcing policies, and participating in incident investigations. Supervise daily production activities to meet productivity targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Monitor workflow, adjust staffing as needed, and ensure smooth shift transitions. Operate as the Lead Weaver, providing guidance and support to team members. Ensure compliance with ISO-9000 and
ISO 14001
work instructions and quality standards. Lead, coach, and develop production employees through scheduling, evaluations, and ongoing training. Address employee concerns fairly, support skill development, and assist with hiring and disciplinary actions. Maintain accurate records of attendance, production metrics, quality checks, and efficiency reports. Prepare reports for payroll, human resources, and management teams. Communicate effectively during shift changes to ensure operational continuity. Perform additional duties as assigned to support team success.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a textile manufacturing setting Minimum of 5 years weaving experience within a textile environment Knowledge of all loom functions and requirements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications or similar software tools
Preferred:
Experience working within textile manufacturing or similar production environments. Familiarity with ISO quality management systems.
Schedule:
Full-time position requiring shift work; flexibility to work before and after scheduled hours as needed for effective communication and operational continuity.
