Job Summary The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role provides leadership to production employees, manages performance, coordinates resources, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to achieve production schedules and performance targets. Lead, coach, train, and develop production team members to ensure high performance, engagement, and accountability. Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Monitor product quality and partner with Quality teams to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. Track and analyze production metrics, including output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, labor utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Investigate and resolve production, personnel, and equipment-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow. Coordinate staffing, employee scheduling, and training to meet production demands. Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other operational excellence tools. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies. Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to improve operational performance. Conduct regular team meetings, communicate production goals, and provide performance feedback. Complete performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation. Drive employee engagement and foster a positive, inclusive, and results-oriented culture. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred. Ability to read technical drawings Experience in custom manufacturing environment Carpentry and or metal work experience is highly preferred. 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality management systems. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Net-suite preferred) Microsoft Office applications. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
