This position manages production workflow, equipment, materials, employees, quality control, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities Manage daily heat-press production and prioritize orders based on deadlines and production schedules. Operate and oversee heat-press equipment for apparel, bags, accessories, and other products. Set appropriate temperature, pressure, and dwell-time settings for different materials and transfers. Ensure designs are positioned, aligned, and applied accurately. Inspect finished products for placement, adhesion, appearance, and overall quality. Train, supervise, and support heat-press operators and production staff. Monitor production output and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Maintain inventory of transfers, garments, substrates, and other production supplies. Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heat-press equipment. Identify production problems and implement corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Track production quantities, waste, rework, and equipment issues. Coordinate with design, embroidery, screen-printing, fulfillment, and customer-service teams as needed. Follow company procedures for quality control, safety, and handling of customer orders. Help improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality. Qualifications Previous experience operating commercial heat presses or apparel-decoration equipment. Experience in garment printing, vinyl, DTF, sublimation, screen printing, or similar production environments preferred. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality. Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven production environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and repeatedly lift, move, and handle garments and production materials. Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to train and motivate production employees. Preferred Experience Experience with DTF, HTV/vinyl, sublimation, screen-print transfers, and specialty materials. Experience with commercial heat-press brands and production equipment. Knowledge of garment types, fabric compositions, and appropriate application settings. Experience using production-management or order-tracking software. Experience managing production quotas, schedules, and quality metrics. Typical Performance Expectations The Heat Press Manager is expected to maintain high-quality output, accurate order fulfillment, efficient production times, low waste/rework, proper equipment operation, and a safe and organized production area .
