$24-$26 per hour + overtime (time and a half) About the Role WorkForce Unlimited, onsite with our client, is seeking a strong, hands-on Second Shift Production Supervisor to mid shift day to night operations across multiple departments in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires a highly visible leader who can make quick decisions, enforce safety, drive productivity, and ensure consistent communication between shifts. This is a working-leader position—not a desk role. The ideal candidate has experience managing frontline teams, overseeing multiple workflows, and maintaining strong operational discipline throughout the shift. Work Schedule & Availability Requirements This leadership position requires reliability, flexibility, and ownership. Successful candidates must be willing and able to: ✔ Arrive early and stay late as needed Shift handoffs, production demands, and staffing needs frequently require extended hours. ✔ Work mandatory weekends Including cleaning weekends and periods when operations fall behind. ✔ Work overtime Overtime is paid at time and a half . ✔ Maintain dependable attendance on a 3:30 pm to 11:30 am schedule This position requires consistent visibility, responsiveness, and full engagement on the production floor throughout the night. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership Supervise nightly operations across six departments. Lead a team of up to 100 associates Prioritize and coordinate workflows including forklift activity, material movement, dumping cans/tobacco powder, and related production tasks. Ensure smooth shift flow, proper task sequencing, and effective resource utilization. Safety & Compliance Enforce all safety protocols and take immediate action on unsafe behavior or conditions. Conduct floor inspections and ensure proper PPE is worn at all times. Shift Communication & Coordination Deliver clear, consistent communication between shifts. Ensure accurate and reliable shift handoff documentation. Respond quickly to production changes, customer needs, and staffing challenges. Team Coaching & Performance Management Address performance issues promptly with clear expectations and follow-through. Provide real-time coaching, reinforcement, and hands-on support. Maintain high morale and accountability across the team. Floor Presence & Physical Requirements This is an active role requiring heavy walking and constant movement throughout the shift. Must be comfortable working in environments with dust, menthol, and strong nicotin odors . Candidate Profile 3+ years of experience supervising frontline teams in manufacturing, distribution, or similar high-volume environments. Proven success managing multiple departments or workflows simultaneously. Forklift knowledge required (operation, safety, or coordination); certification preferred. Strong decision-making capability and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Highly dependable, proactive, and able to lead through busy or challenging periods. "Go‑getter" mentality with the drive to stay fully engaged on the production floor. Top-of-Screen Requirements (Must-Haves) Availability to arrive early, stay late, and work overtime . Willingness to work mandatory weekends . Comfortable with dust, menthol, and strong tobacco-related odors. Ability to cover multiple departments and support the team during staffing gaps. Strong communication skills and a proven safety-focused mindset. Forklift exposure (Y/N) and certification status (Y/N). What Success Looks Like Running a smooth, efficient, and safe second shift.
