Job Description

Role Summary The first shift Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met. This role directs the work of production staff, manages schedules, assigns tasks, and ensures compliance with company policies and customer expectations. The supervisor provides ongoing coaching, training, and performance management while promoting a safe and organized work environment. Main Tasks Lead daily workflow by assigning tasks, setting schedules, and ensuring work meets quality and policy standards. Hire, train, coach, counsel, and develop employees in alignment with HR policies. Monitor labor efficiency, minimize overtime, and maintain staffing at required levels. Promote a strong safety culture and maintain a clean, organized production floor. Collaborate with other plant leaders to coordinate production and warehouse activities. Track and report daily production output and identify issues impacting performance. Ensure employees adhere to time schedules, including start times, breaks, and lunches. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and standardization. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Your Profile Education:
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of supervisory experience, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or materials management. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees. Knowledge of raw materials planning and production scheduling. Experience in manufacturing and/or logistics required. Familiarity with 5S principles and strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to write basic reports and correspondence. Lean Manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to work independently or in a team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (Sage a plus). Forklift experience or certification preferred. Strong attention to detail, self‑motivation, and results‑driven mindset. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with company policies. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Are you full of ideas?
