Job Description

Job Title:
Manufacturing Cell Support Supervisor Job Description The Manufacturing Support Supervisor provides front-line leadership for support operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of media prep, material kitting, and GMP cleaning in alignment with cGMP standards and production schedules. This role prioritizes daily work, supports training and compliance, resolves routine issues, and escalates risks impacting operations. The supervisor partners cross-functionally and provides coverage across manufacturing as needed. Responsibilities Supervise and direct daily support activities to meet production needs. Assign work, monitor progress, and reinforce safety, quality, and cGMP standards. Lead shift huddles and maintain a strong floor presence. Coach team members and address performance and compliance issues. Align support activities (materials, media, cleaning) with production schedules. Ensure readiness for next-day operations, including end-of-day cleaning. Coordinate shift coverage and communicate risks or constraints. Track and report shift performance and escalate issues impacting delivery. Ensure accurate and timely completion of GMP documentation and batch records. Review SOPs, logs, and records for completeness and compliance. Support audits and ensure documentation readiness. Reinforce quality systems and escalate deviations. Oversee ERP transactions and work order updates. Manage documentation workflows (labels, records, materials requests). Maintain training compliance and audit readiness. Identify operational risks and support mitigation plans. Drive improvements in efficiency, standardization, and error reduction. Support new process and equipment implementation. Support onboarding and training for support functions. Monitor and ensure completion of required training and qualifications. Identify gaps and coordinate with training teams. Essential Skills Aseptic technique. Cleanroom operations. Sterile processing. Cell culture and biology. Molecular biology. GMP compliance. Supervision and training experience. Laboratory decontamination. Standard operating procedures (SOP). Medical device knowledge. Environmental monitoring. Troubleshooting. Batch record management. Immunoassay experience. DNA extraction. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Engineering). AS/BS in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent. Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or GMP environment. 2+ years of experience in a lead, training, or coordination role. Work Environment The position requires working in a lab and office setting. The lab is a cleanroom environment with level 10k and 100k cleanroom classifications. The role requires sterile gowning certification and maintaining this certification. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Winston Salem, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
