Job Description

Marvin is seeking an Electrical Controls Supervisor to lead a team of controls technicians supporting our advanced manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you will oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial electrical systems that keep our window and door production lines running safely and efficiently. You'll prioritize and assign work, drive root cause analysis, and partner with engineering and production to implement controls improvements, support new equipment commissioning, and champion safety and continuous improvement in a people-first, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of electrical controls technicians in a manufacturing environment Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and control panels Diagnose and resolve equipment and controls issues to minimize downtime Partner with engineering and production to support new equipment commissioning and upgrades Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards, including NFPA 70 E and Lockout/Tagout Develop and maintain documentation, electrical schematics, and standard procedures Prioritize and schedule work orders using maintenance or CMMS tools Identify and implement controls improvements to support quality, safety, and throughput Coordinate with vendors and contractors for controls and automation projects Support training and development of technicians in controls and electrical best practices Required Skills PLC programming and troubleshooting HMI configuration and support Industrial electrical systems (480 V, controls wiring) VFDs and motor controls Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, fieldbus) Control panel design and interpretation Electrical schematics and documentation Root cause analysis and problem-solving CMMS or maintenance management systems Safety standards (NFPA 70 E, Lockout/Tagout)
