A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Job Description

Leadperson must be able to oversee the daily operations of the department while maintaining production goals as set by Management. This person must be able to tactfully coordinate his/her department in a manner to promote safety and quality standards, as well as aid in the development of all employees under his/her leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop new employees, as well as current employees Hold employees accountable for their work. Have a high regard for quality work. Promote teamwork in their area and with all other departments. Understanding of blueprints, production orders and the ability to layout and build product accurately from them. Must be able to use staple & nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices and other equipment as required by the specific job.
Education:
High School Diploma, or GED, preferred
