There is no relocation assistance. Position Summary The Production Supervisor is a key management position with significant involvement and essential responsibility for overall operational results during the off shifts. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor shall safely produce and deliver a quality product and service on time and cost effectively. Responsible for the production of product. Coaches and develops employees on a daily basis to safely produce products with the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements. Production schedules may vary week to week. Candidates must have availability to work on weekends to meet production demands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides expertise of core business knowledge and processes. Executes direction based upon business priority and strategy. Enforces compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Builds collaborative partnerships across departmental lines to achieve departmental and team results. Implements effective action plans with a sense of urgency. Positively represents the company in the community and promotes the company's good will and interests. Mentors and coaches "direct reports" by fostering a culture of continued learning and development. Supports corporate strategy by developing team and individual goals, objectives, operational standards and expectations in the order of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. An advocate of change and continued process improvement. Champions new ideas and encourages others to try new approaches to solve day to day opportunities and key business issues. Builds strong, effective high-performance teams. Influences and motivates for strong performance. Improves the performance of others through coaching and feedback. Strengthens the quality of talent through assessment, selection, placing the right people in the right positions. Identifies and develops future leadership and improves overall bench strength. Consistently makes good people decisions regarding recruitment, promotion, and assessment and possesses the ability to make tough but fair decisions. Shall be responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Manager. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree, preferred. 2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Six years of experience in a related role.
