M-TH 3:30 pm - 2:15 am, Fridays as needed Compana Pet Brands is a global leader in pet care and nutrition dedicated to enriching the lives of pets and their families today and for generations to come. We are actively seeking a Production Supervisor to join our growing organization and help us Nurture What You Love! The role's primary responsibility will be to ensure products are packaged according to the company's quality and food safety standards and daily/ weekly production schedule. As our Production Supervisor, you'll make an impact by: Ensuring the shift runs according to documented standards, overseeing end-of-shift cleaning and changeover protocols to facilitate smooth shift transitions. Maintaining production equipment in good working order. Ensuring employees are properly trained in the operation of equipment to prevent injury, damage to equipment, and unnecessary downtime. Immediately notifying Production Manager and/or maintenance staff if equipment requires repair. Ensuring work center coaches and employees understand the Continuous Improvement and problem-solving tools and techniques employed by the department. Encouraging all employees to strive for daily improvement. Communicating performance feedback to the team as well as Production Manager and Human Resources. Providing for the proper onboarding and training of new employees (regular and temporary), ensuring every person receives the required orientation and safety/quality training prior to working. Encouraging and supporting work center coaches as they train and motivate team members as well as ensuring the productivity, development, engagement, and retention of production employees. Leading, developing and mentoring production employees.What you need to succeed:
High school diploma, or equivalent. Three years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Outstanding interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications and team building. Ability to work with hay and hay-based products. Ability to lift 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, twist, bend and stand for extended periods. Ability to certify and operate a forklift. Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, time clock system and overall computer programs and use. Ability to understand and interpret financial and production data. To better ensure the operational performance and safety of the business and the individual, the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English is required.Preferred Qualifications:
