Job Description

Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of production operations on 3rd shift within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved while providing strong leadership, direction, and accountability for the production team. Key Responsibilities Supervise, lead, and develop production employees on 3rd shift Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily production activities to meet or exceed output goals Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Drive accountability for quality standards and ensure products meet specifications Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production, equipment, and personnel issues in a timely manner Monitor staffing levels and adjust resources to meet production demands Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching, and administer disciplinary actions when needed Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members Communicate production performance, downtime, and operational issues to management Oversee shift transitions and ensure accurate and thorough shift handoffs Partner with maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to optimize production flow Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready production environment Analyze production data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency Implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and improve overall performance Qualifications Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and enforce accountability Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills Solid understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proficient in basic computer systems and production reporting tools Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Preferred Experience Experience supervising 15+ employees Experience with production metrics, scheduling, and KPI tracking Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
