Job Description
NYCOA is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead plant employees and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations at our Manchester, NH facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being present on the production floor, developing employees, solving problems, and working alongside the team when needed. You will help employees meet daily production goals while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, communication, and performance. Maintain a safe working environment and reinforce all safety procedures. Coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, output, and scheduling goals. Work alongside employees to learn production equipment and assist with operations when needed. Coach, train, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to team members. Communicate production priorities, expectations, and shift updates clearly. Identify production problems and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them. Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and open communication. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable local, state, and federal requirements. Document production activity and use company software to monitor operations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Comfortable working around industrial machinery and manufacturing processes. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Available to work the required 12-hour rotating schedule. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of manufacturing supervisory experience. Experience in plastics, chemical processing, extrusion, polymer manufacturing, or another continuous-process manufacturing environment. Experience working in a unionized facility. Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning software. Technical knowledge of chemical or industrial production processes. Schedule This position follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule: Five consecutive day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Five consecutive days off Five consecutive night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Five consecutive days off About NYCOA For more than 50 years, NYCOA has specialized in nylon polymerization and manufacturing.
