Job Description
This is a newly created position intended to supplement a great staff and an expanding staff. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to help oversee daily plant operations . The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in high-speed manufacturing environments and the ability to drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for supervising production activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, supporting employee development, and maintaining efficient plant operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with over 150 employees. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise daily second shift production operations to meet production and customer goals Monitor production performance, quality standards, and on-time shipment requirements Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures Optimize labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize productivity and minimize waste Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives Analyze production data, downtime, scrap, and overtime trends to improve operational performance Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, GMP, sanitation, and company standards Partner with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and management teams to support efficient plant operations Train, coach, and develop production employees while maintaining accountability and performance standards Address employee relations and performance matters in accordance with company policy Maintain accurate production and operational records Stay informed on manufacturing best practices, safety standards, and operational improvements Foster a respectful and inclusive multicultural work environment Overtime will be often required Qualifications 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or other high-speed manufacturing environments strongly preferred Experience with high-speed packaging and/or filling equipment strongly preferred Knowledge of plant operations including HVAC, refrigeration, sanitation, and GMP compliance Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Bilingual English/Spanish skills required to be successful Must be available to work overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures
