Job Description

What to Expect As a Production Control (PC) Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of production at the Gigafactory Nevada. You will work primarily on the manufacturing floor and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met. What You'll Do Build a strong, motivated PC team capable of consistently managing raw material and finished goods inventory Ensure efficient, timely raw material replenishment to ensure production teams can meet aggressive production targets Empower the PC team to collaborate with production to improve consumption processes to ensure replenishment programs remain successful Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking surrounding accuracy, latency and PIT management Ensure adherence to all PC processes as lined out in the Standardized Work Instructions and make sure that all team members get the needed training and support to be successful Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices across PC Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations What You'll Bring 3+ years of experience managing Materials teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment with evidence of positively impacting Material Flow processes Experience in selecting, developing, and training new team members Ability to work with and develop Material Flow performance metrics, including efficiency, quality, safety, accuracy, and cost Capable of working well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines Develop strong working relationships with key PC stakeholders and communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Proficient with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
