Compensation $28-$35 Per Hour Job Summary The Asphalt Plant Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the asphalt production facility. This role includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, optimizing production processes, and maintaining quality standards. Main Responsibilities 1.
Operational Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the asphalt plant to ensure efficient production processes. Develop and implement production schedules and coordinate with project managers to meet delivery deadlines. 2.
Staff Management:
Supervise and train plant personnel, including operators and maintenance staff. Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs. 3.
Quality Control:
Ensure compliance with quality standards for asphalt production. Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections and testing of materials. 4.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. 5.
Maintenance Oversight:
Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment to ensure reliable operation. Work with maintenance teams to schedule regular inspections and preventive maintenance. 6.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Manage the plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives. 7.
Communication and Reporting:
Report production metrics, safety incidents, and operational issues to senior management. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to streamline operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred). Extensive experience in asphalt production or related construction industry roles. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards related to asphalt production. Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite Skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
