Fabrication Shift Supervisor -2nd Shift

Reports To:

Store Manager

Pay Range:

$30.00 - $35.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling and managing flow of work going through Pipe shop
  
• Coordinating receivables, material handling and shipping of material and product being sold to customers.
  
• Participating in the interviewing, hiring and recruiting of shop workers
  
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
  
• Interpret specifications, drawings and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
  
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  
• Studies schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
  
• Maintains time records and coordinates schedules.

May, upon employer's authorization, make cost estimates for contracts

Qualifications:

• Work within precise limits of standards and accuracy
  
• Ability to multi-task and work with changing priorities
  
• Working knowledge of characteristics of steel pipe and related products used in the industry.
  
• Familiarity with lay-out and design techniques
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Prior supervisory experience
