Job Description
Summary of Position:
The Quality Group Leader coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting and testing assembled parts, components, and subassemblies held to the highest quality standards as product proceeds through stages of the assembly process, applying knowledge of Quality Standards and Procedures. This position reviews Quality work instructions, assembly specification, and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and testing, sequence of operations, and work assignments to meet customer specifications and demands.Corporate:

Direct supervision of Quality personnel, including time entry and discipline issues. Provides direction, development and leadership to team. Demonstrate processes, equipment operations, and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training. Deliver and support training programs to educate employees on quality awareness and best practices. Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals. Work with department leadership in setting and monitoring standards, examining samples of products or directing testing during processing, and resolving issues to ensure all company, customer, and regulatory standards are met with the highest quality standards. Work with Team Leads to coordinate operation activities within or between departments. Responsible for the optimization of all Quality processes. Monitor production to detect and address quality issues and nonconformances. Complete inspections according to the quality management system / control plans /agreements with customers Review schedules, production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments. Work with Human Resources to hire, train, evaluate, coach, resolve employee concerns, and process terminations. Prepare and maintain detailed reports for proper action and recording. Assist in developing and implementing production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems. Oversee the performance of layered audits and quality checks as needed throughout the entire cycle of the seat process and all the included parts. Review parts and make determinations if they pass/fail the quality standards Assist in the set-up and calibration of gauging and measuring devices; train Team Members on using gauges and measuring devices Observe work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Performs any variety of operational tasks and workstations within the Quality Department to maintain positive flow of work. Support production and quality teams by providing timely feedback on test results. Work with cross functional teams to investigate defects, non-conformances, or customer complaints. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Attend all required training as assigned.Reporting:
