Our client is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Production Supervisor to lead one of their dynamic manufacturing departments. This supervisor role is ideal for someone with strong leadership qualities, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for driving production excellence. You'll be responsible for managing daily operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Understand the fundamentals of filter production and their applications Efficiently manage department operations to meet delivery timelines with minimal overtime Read and interpret production reports and schedules to plan workflow Schedule production using Oracle-based systems Cross-train and rotate employees to build a flexible workforce Train new hires and internal transfers Conduct and document employee performance evaluations twice a year Make personnel decisions and resolve customer service issues Collaborate with other supervisors, HR, and support staff Lead departmental Lean initiatives and participate in plant-wide projects Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment Enforce safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE Monitor and enforce Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures Ensure all employees are trained and familiar with Best Work Practices (BWPs) This is a direct hire, full-time position , hiring immediately. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 3:00p and Friday, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pay is $31.31/hour. Full benefits, including retirement, are available. Skills & Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus Solid math and computer skills Proven people management and time-management abilities Ability to multitask and work independently or in teams Forklift certification is helpful but not required Able to read tape measures and understand fractions to 1/16 " Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet most of the day Ideal Traits Positive, cooperative, and dependable Friendly and respectful with a team-building mindset Honest, trustworthy, and decisive Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach Safety- and quality-minded with attention to detail Flexible and resilient under production pressures
