Company Paid Life, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability Insurances 401k after 1 year with 100% match up to 4% of contribution Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance effective 1st day of month following first full month of employment with option to select High deductible policy with flex spend or HSA Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Responsibilities Production Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintaining a safe environment in which employees can perform their jobs as required Coaching, training, and instructing employees on how to consistently produce a quality product, while eliminating waste Monitoring employee performances based on expectations Relaying information daily to Lead Manufacturing Manager and other supervisors Overseeing assigned processing activities, keeping consistent with our quality standards, federal and state regulations Maintaining and meeting criteria set by Customer and National Beef as it relates to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standards Facilitating, developing, and evaluating employees in assigned areas to ensure that our standard operating procedures are being followed in a safe and consistent manner. Training and coaching employees as needed Maintaining manpower placement sheets on a daily basis, post overtime sheets and qualified training sheets as directed by the Lead Manufacturing Manager Maintaining the consistent flow of processing raw materials to produce maximum efficiency, quality, and throughput. Investigating and monitoring production problems to help reduce and/or eliminate waste Ensuring that all employees adhere to plant policies, LOTO procedures, work rules, and safety standards. Keeping lines of communication open with the Human Resources Department concerning policies and current contract language to ensure guidelines are being met. Maintaining a clean, safe environment for all employees and working closely with the Safety Manager to help audit and eliminate any unsafe hazard in the work area Leading or participating in process improvement through the use of Six Sigma and project management as needed Other duties as assigned This is an on-site position. This is a safety sensitive position Qualifications Qualified candidates for the Production Supervisor position should possess the following: High School Diploma or equivalent Some previous supervisory and/or production background in a high-speed/high-volume manufacturing environment Previous experience required to be able to handle the multiple duties and responsibilities of the Production Supervisor position Working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations Understanding of regulatory requirements specific to the food industry Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred but not necessary Strong leadership skills Strong interpersonal skills Business management understanding Computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
