Description Job Summary:
The Assist Fabrication Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of fabrication processes within the warehouse. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. By managing a team of skilled workers and technicians. Their expertise not only supports the seamless operation of fabrication activities but also contributes to the strategic development of products and the improvement of operational efficiencies. Through effective leadership and resource management. Duties/Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize fabricating efficiency. Coordinate with the Project Management team to review, interpret, and execute fabrication drawings and specifications. Implement and maintain safety protocols and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Monitor and evaluate the performance of fabrication equipment, scheduling maintenance and upgrades to minimize downtime. Facilitate communication between the fabrication department and other organizational units, such as sales, design, and customer service, to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines. Oversee the implementation of quality protocols and standards, conduct regular audits, optimize processes, and integrate feedback mechanisms to improve production quality and efficiency.
Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
Quality control systems Ability to operate power tools and other warehouse machinery with proper training Blueprint reading Production scheduling Workforce training Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
Education and Experience:
10+ years in a construction field
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
Work Environment:
General warehouse environment with standard warehouse equipment Exposure to varying office temperatures and distractions
