Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for more than 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. Our St. Henry Harvesting plant in Mercer County, Ohio, prepares the turkeys for further processing and distribution. Cooper Farms is currently seeking an Evisceration Supervisor (3rd shift) to join our team in St. Henry. The primary goal of this position is the direct supervision of production activities in the Evisceration Department, to oversee and implement activities that support the achievement of the goals as defined in our business plan including efficiency, quality, and safety.
SHIFT HOURS
5 full days; beginning Sunday nights
STARTING RATE
Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY
Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
Provide supervision and direction to all evisceration team members, with emphasis on quality, safety, and team building.

Achieve departmental production goals relating to production efficiency, quality and yields.

Recommend and implement methods or procedures to improve production activities, equipment performance and overall quality of product.

Conduct employee evaluations, disciplines, and counseling as necessary. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with people at all levels is a must in this position.

Maintain a positive working relationship with USDA inspectors.

Promote the Cooper Culture through trainings and personal demonstration.
