We're seeking a Tool Stores Supervisor to oversee our Non-Production Materials (NPM) inventory while leading a team of hourly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As the Tool Stores Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the plant has the materials needed to operate efficiently while driving inventory accuracy and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all Non-Production Materials (NPM) inventory operations Monitor inventory levels, inventory turns, and material availability Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and transactional issues Lead cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives Partner with Maintenance and Finance to reduce excess and obsolete inventory Review Tool Store Requests (TSRs) and support replenishment planning Process inventory transfers, shipments, receipts, and material transactions Assist plant personnel with material requests and purchasing processes Support supplier coordination, invoice validation, and warranty resolution Supervise and develop a team of UAW-represented employees across multiple shifts Promote safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Kaizen Collaborate with Maintenance, Purchasing, Finance, and Operations to support plant objectives
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong inventory management, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Commitment to safety and continuous improvement Willingness to learn new systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience Experience working in a union environment SAP experience (training provided) Work Schedule Monday-Friday Day Shift Overtime, including weekends, as business needs require Occasional support for 2nd and 3rd shift operations Why Join Us?
