This is a working production supervisor role , not a desk-only management position. You will lead the day-to-day workflow of the Graphics Department while staying closely connected to production—setting priorities, assigning work, troubleshooting production issues, checking quality, coordinating materials and equipment, and stepping in to support graphic production when needed. The strongest candidate will understand how graphics move from production files through printing, cutting, laminating, mounting, finishing, and final quality inspection and will be comfortable working around equipment such as large-format printers, laminators, cutters, plotters, and other digital finishing equipment . If you have worked in a sign shop, exhibit/display graphics operation, wide-format print environment, or similar graphics-production facility and have experience leading production employees, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Lead daily graphics production activities, communicate priorities, assign work, and help ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Coordinate production workflow based on work orders, deadlines, staffing, material availability, equipment capacity, and project requirements. Supervise, coach, train, and provide day-to-day direction to Graphics Department employees. Review work orders, graphic layouts, dimensions, production notes, and project specifications before and during production. Monitor work in progress and identify production, quality, material, equipment, or scheduling issues before they impact delivery. Perform and oversee quality control for color, dimensions, finishing, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications. Troubleshoot issues involving printing, cutting, finishing, files, color output, substrates, materials, and production equipment . Coordinate with Design, Project Management, Production, Purchasing, and other departments to keep projects moving through production. Oversee graphic material inventory, material availability, storage, usage, and ordering. Monitor labor, material usage, rework, waste, downtime, production performance, and other department metrics. Coordinate routine preventive maintenance, service, repair, and troubleshooting of graphics production and finishing equipment. Identify opportunities to improve production workflow, equipment utilization, material usage, quality, and overall department efficiency. Support hands-on graphic production when needed to meet quality standards and customer deadlines. Promote safe equipment operation, appropriate PPE, and proper handling of inks, adhesives, chemicals, and other production materials.

What We're Looking For Required:

At least 3 years of professional experience in graphic production, sign production, exhibit graphics, wide-format printing, large-format printing, or a comparable commercial print-production environment. Previous experience leading, coordinating, or supervising production employees . Hands-on knowledge of graphics-production processes, materials, file preparation, color output, finishing methods, and quality-control practices. Experience working with production equipment such as large-format/wide-format printers, laminators, cutters, plotters, or comparable graphics-finishing equipment . Experience planning or coordinating daily production workflow and adjusting priorities based on deadlines, staffing, equipment, or materials. Ability to troubleshoot production problems and determine practical solutions. Ability to read and interpret work orders, layouts, measurements, dimensions, production notes, and project specifications. Strong leadership, coaching, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in an active production environment and helping with production when needed. Preferred Experience Sign manufacturing or sign-shop production Exhibit, trade show, museum, retail, environmental, or display graphics production Wide-format or large-format digital printing Graphic finishing, mounting, laminating, cutting, or plotting RIP or other graphics-production software Production workflow, inventory, or ERP systems Adobe Creative Cloud applications Equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance coordination Production scheduling, quality control, inventory management, waste/rework tracking, or labor/production metrics Associate degree or technical training in graphic production, visual communications, printing, manufacturing, or a related field Production Environment This position works regularly in both office and active graphics-production environments. The role may involve standing and walking for extended periods, working at production workstations, moving graphic materials, bending, reaching, using approved ladders, and working around printing and finishing equipment, inks, adhesives, and other production materials.
