Job Description

Overview System One is working with a manufacturer in the Tulsa area to place a Structural Fabrication Supervisor. Responsibilities Supervise daily fabrication operations, including welders and fitters Schedule manpower and assign work based on the master production schedule Review upcoming work and adjust labor, sequencing, and resources as needed Order materials and ensure availability to support fabrication schedules Coordinate and manage subcontracted fabrication work Build, modify, and maintain fabrication fixtures and jigs to improve efficiency and consistency Monitor quality, productivity, and safety throughout the department Enforce shop procedures, safety rules, and work standards Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety Troubleshoot fabrication issues and work with management or engineering to resolve them Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements Communicate shop status, delays, and needs clearly to management Manage subcontractors or outside fabrication vendors Requirements 5+ years of experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication Previous supervisory, lead, or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of welding processes and structural fabrication methods Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and fabrication documents Experience with scheduling labor, coordinating materials, and meeting production deadlines Proven ability to lead crews and enforce accountability Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Willingness to be hands-on when needed Microsoft Office Suite - basic working knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word) System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
