$72,803-$89,603 annually The Truss Production Manager will be responsible for managing the production team which includes Truss Builders, Truss Stackers, and Forklift Operator. The Truss Production Manager will also be responsible for coordinating and meeting production deadlines. This position reports directly to Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager and works closely with Truss Builders, Stackers, Fork Lift Operators. They interact daily with vendors, Drivers, Designers, and other internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently Oversee the day-to-day production management and scheduling of work orders Strategically maximize production capacity from employees while keeping them motivated Prioritize the work schedule and communicate with production staff daily Ensure the repair and maintenance of production equipment Perform quality assurance measures Manage the inventory purchasing and storage process Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications 2 years of previous experience in a similar job 2 years of management experience High School Diploma, GED, etc. Class C driver's license and must have and maintain a good driving record required Knowledgeable in truss' and building materials Maintain knowledge or all manufacturing processes and production equipment Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Fluent in English and Spanish a plus Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required Interpersonal Skills Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups. Communication can include, but is not limited to: in-person (verbal and non-verbal), written, e-mail, telephone, and public speaking to medium size groups Strong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to function independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence Ability to think and respond quickly, positively, and professionally to constantly changing circumstances Ability to appropriately manage stress and interact with others. Working Conditions The working conditions include an office with a computer and regular work in manufacturing conditions. The job is primarily daytime, within a 6am to 6pm window, as a typical 50 hours per week salaried position. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to drive a company vehicle when necessary Both local and overnight travel may be required Ability to utilize all appropriate safety equipment Direct Reports Production team We know that without great people, we can't be a great company.
