Job Overview Kurtz Bros., Inc. an established manufacturing located in Clearfield, PA is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Supervisor/Planning Coordinator to lead manufacturing operations and streamline production planning processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily plant activities, coordinate production schedules, and ensure optimal utilization of resources to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster a culture of safety and efficiency, and support our commitment to manufacturing excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational success through strategic planning, team management, and process optimization. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and direct manufacturing operations. Monitor, analyze and report production capabilities to assure production goals are met. Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and comply with industry standards. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety through effective communication and staff development. Oversee the ordering of raw materials/supplies and monitor their inventory levels. Ensure the safety of employees. Review LOTO procedures for plant machinery and update accordingly. Establish written guidelines/procedures for plant production, review and update as needed. Implement new procedures and review/modify existing procedures to ensure efficient operations. Schedule manpower to assure production goals are met, while minimizing overtime. Enforce plant rules and quality practices. Assist with employee issues, aid them in problem solving/resolution and coach them when necessary. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process improvement techniques, and continuous improvement strategies. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and plant operations. Excellent skills in production planning, supply chain management, and operations management. Ability to analyze data using supply chain analytics tools to inform decision-making. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in plant management or operations supervision roles. Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate cross-functional activities.
