Description Department:
Operations Reports to: Plant Manager Position Overview The Production Supervisor is a supervisory leadership role responsible for active management of production that emphasizes employee engagement, training/development, and continuous improvement to deliver sustainable results against the goals of the organization. This position is responsible for supervising personnel and production activities. The role coordinates production and maintenance as well as support schedules to meet production commitments, effectively utilizing team members, materials, equipment, and other company resources. You will communicate performance expectations to ensure production targets and metrics are met, achieve acceptable quality of product and working conditions, supervise machine performance and productivity, as well as coach and mentor team members. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations with constant emphasis on safety, quality, and accountability Act as a first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical or production issues Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures Finding a replacement in the event of a call-out for shifts Record daily reports for daily shift production data Control workflow factors to ensure maximum use of available personnel and equipment Maintain staff by training and developing individual growth Maintains a safe working environment and safety records, and programs and SOPs Coordinate daily production on the shift and collaborate with peers across all shifts. Manage daily production during the shift. Act strategically to meet production demands, solve issues, and make improvements.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
At least 3 years of casting operations knowledge is preferred, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures. Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods. Benefits Highly competitive salary based on experience.
