Job Description

Job description Ridg-U-Rak is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for one of our manufacturing facilities located in North East, PA. Ridg-U-Rak is one of the largest pallet rack and storage rack manufacturers in North America. We have three facilities in North East, PA that provide over 400,000 square feet of manufacturing capability and warehousing space. Excellent Benefits Package!
Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of products, such as Welders, Material Handlers, Machine Operators and Paint Department personnel. Ensure that completed orders are moved and staged for the next operation. This includes ensuring that all transfer bills are being printed and all information is correct. Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports. Direct and coordinate the material handling and loading of finished products for shipment. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Observe work to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve problems. Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Maintain operations data, such as time slips for accuracy. Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers. Keep records of employees' attendance and work history performance. Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained throughout the department. Make sure that all required P.P.E. is being used and is maintained in good condition.
Qualifications:
Welding knowledge preferred 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment 1-3 years previous supervising experience in a similar role Strong computer skills Excellent communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate team members
