Job Description

PHB, Inc. located in Fairview, Pennsylvania, recognized globally as a fully integrated supplier of quality parts and assemblies, has openings for
PRODUCTION FOREMEN
on Swing 1-2 shift and 3rd shift in the Die Cast Division. Supervise, train, and instruct all Die Cast operators in a union environment Evaluate the performance of employees, especially newly hired and transferred personnel Maintain a clean and safe work environment; do accident investigations and implement corrective action as needed Monitor set-up, start-up, operation, and teardown of machinery and equipment Troubleshoot equipment when necessary and facilitate other activities as necessary to minimize machine downtime Ensure that die casting machines and auxiliary equipment (including punch presses) are adjusted properly and setup in the most efficient and safest manner possible Write Maintenance work orders for die cast machinery and equipment and tooling repair orders for casting die work; communicate with both departments to ensure proper die, machine, and equipment repair Suggest ways and methods for improvement to Supervisors Communicate with Foremen on other shifts Actively participate in problem solving activities, reporting workplace safety hazards, suggesting quality improvement methods, etc. Applicants must have experience in a manufacturing setting Prior supervisor experience is required A full range of body motion is required, including bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and wrist action. Heavy lifting is required, but assistance and mechanical devices are to be used with objects and equipment over 50 pounds. PHB, Inc. offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
