Jewett Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) facility in Mt. Jewett, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high efficiency and technologically advanced plant. The Continuous Improvement Supervisor leads daily operational improvement activities to increase productivity, quality, and safety at the site. This role supervises CI technicians or process improvement facilitators and partners with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain to identify, prioritize, and implement Lean/Six Sigma projects. The supervisor drives standard work, visual management, problem-solving, and a culture of continuous improvement to achieve sustainable results. This is a hands-on role. Our Team Georgia-Pacific in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania manufactures Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), a popular substitution for hardboard in residential and industrial applications such as for drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, interior wall and ceiling panels, modular partitions, and door skins. To learn more about our team and our culture, click here: Mt Jewett-Kane Culture What You Will Do Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of CI practitioners and coordinate cross-functional improvement teams.

Identify opportunities for improvement via gemba walks, data analysis, and team feedback.

Facilitate rapid improvement events (Kaizen), DMAIC projects, 5S, SMED, TPM, and other Lean tools.

Leading Mill RCFA for UPE ownership.

Track project progress, quantify benefits (cost, time, quality), and ensure sustainment of improvements.

Create and maintain process documentation, standard work, and training materials.

Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and quality to remove barriers and implement solutions.

Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports for leadership on CI initiatives and ROI.

Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards during projects.

Participate in both weekly and daily Op's/Mt planning meetings.

Provide Support for urgent issues as needed.

Monitors assets health using site predictive tools Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience.

3+ years of hands-on continuous improvement experience in manufacturing/operations; 1+ year supervising or leading teams preferred.

Experience with data analysis and problem-solving (DMAIC, root cause analysis).

Strong facilitation and coaching skills; ability to influence at all levels.

Proficient with MS Excel; experience with Power BI, or similar analytics tools is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. What Will Put You Ahead Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred).

Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering measurable financial benefits.

SAP/MRP or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience.
