Job Description

Job Overview Are you an experienced leader passionate about optimizing production teams and driving operational excellence? We're working on behalf of a client seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing activities, foster team growth, and ensure top-tier quality standards.
Key Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret work instructions and engineering diagrams Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or related continuous improvement methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in computer systems and data reporting Capability to respond swiftly to issues with sound judgment Ability to work in a production environment for up to 9 hours, including physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, stooping, etc.) Willingness to occasionally travel, with office in
Lancaster, PA Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily workflows, adjusting priorities to meet production goals and deadlines Supervise, train, and develop team members, fostering a skilled and motivated workforce Monitor quality metrics, ensuring products meet company and customer standards Facilitate communication across departments to resolve obstacles and streamline processes Lead first-piece inspections to verify product quality before mass assembly Manage employee schedules, ensuring fair workload distribution and adequate staffing Promote Lean practices like 5S to enhance organization and efficiency Maintain accurate training records and support ongoing employee development Track and report on production cycles, staffing, quality, and process improvements Enforce safety, quality, and procedural compliance consistently Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and handle personnel issues promptly Assist in assembly duties as needed to maintain workflow continuity Oversee equipment calibration, proper chemical handling, and proper documentation
