Job Description
What You'll Do Lead & Develop Your Team Lead and support manufacturing employees by setting clear expectations, assigning work, monitoring performance, and addressing issues. Train, coach, counsel, discipline, and evaluate employees while identifying and developing high-potential talent. Ensure employees are properly trained and certified for their assigned responsibilities. Maintain accurate employee time and attendance records. Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication across the shift. Drive Safety, Quality & Compliance Lead by example and ensure compliance with company safety policies, PPE requirements, security procedures, and workplace standards. Complete required STOP observations and proactively address safety concerns. Maintain GMP and 5S standards to create safe, clean, organized, and efficient work cells. Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality requirements. Ensure proper execution of Certified Operator training, MRB, quarantine, and related quality processes. Own Shift Production Performance Take ownership of shift production, quality, and operational targets. Monitor and report key manufacturing metrics, including yield, efficiency, utilization, OEE, inventory, cycle counts, and IQ reconciliation. Identify performance gaps and take action to keep production on track. Manage company resources effectively while supporting departmental and organizational goals. Ensure accurate production and inventory information is maintained in IQMS, including production entries, scrap, dispositions, cycles, cavitation, and error corrections. Solve Problems & Improve Processes Troubleshoot production and quality issues and implement effective solutions. Use root-cause analysis and data-driven problem solving to prevent recurring issues. Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improved safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Understand BOMs and their impact on production yield and overall performance. Keep Operations Running Smoothly Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication and handoffs. Conduct manufacturing-area walkthroughs and review housekeeping, work-cell performance, and operational priorities. Maintain accurate inventory through FIFO, location accuracy, scanning, and periodic inventory requirements. Partner with team members and other departments to resolve issues and maintain a smooth production flow. What You Bring Manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, coaching, conflict-resolution, and team leadership skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, GMP, quality systems, and manufacturing performance metrics . Ability to analyze production data and turn findings into meaningful improvements. Experience with IQMS or a similar manufacturing ERP system preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management, BOMs, production yield, and cycle counts. Ability to prioritize effectively and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A commitment to achieving safety, quality, productivity, and production goals .
